The works from All Directions are spun and woven with mystery yarn, yarn (possibly gifted from someone’s old stash or bought second hand) has been separated from any information about its own origin or chemical composition and is often a collection of short threads and small skeins. Mystery yarn does not always lend itself well to predetermined ideas or recipes, those who possess it have to forge new ways to create substance out of chaos.

In a time where things are produced at ultraspeed and distributed in unpredictable ways, traceability and purity of raw materials are not always a given. What unites these materials is the mystery they are wrapped in. The works from All Directions celebrate this mystery and chaos, by choice of materials and methods.
