Echoes of pönkgöngin: Soundprints

This performance is inspired by the memory of a unique historical space that used to be a DIY punk rock hangout and performance venue. Events were often held upstairs at Kópavogsbíó. It begins with the sound of melting ice suspended in the tunnel, gradually merging with echoes of the past that evoke the memory of the place, and ends with a wall of feedback noise. The space is infused with the energy and noise of those who once gathered there, and the work is structured in a way that allows those memories to re-emerge through sound. In many ways, it may feel less like a performance and more like a ritual.
