Rúnar Örn Jóhönnu Marinósson (b. 1989) is a visual artist and a musician. He holds a degree in fine arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp and Iceland University of the Arts. In his performances, installations and drawings, that are characterised by much playfulness, he looks at the ways in which humans find poesy, beauty and purpose in their chaotically organised existence. To do so, he appropriates motifs and the aesthetic of phenomenons such as stand-up, art history, children's program, amateur theater, the internet and pop culture.
