Natalia Duarte Jeremías (b. 1985) is a Costa Rican violist and educator based in Reykjavík. Her practice revolves around historical performance, improvisation and participatory practices in music pedagogy, especially targeted to the youngest audiences and their families. She has experience as a teacher and facilitator in music schools, cultural associations and non-profit organizations in Costa Rica, Spain, Italy, and Iceland. Besides her educational work, Natalia is specialized in modern and early music, regularly performing with early music orchestras and chamber ensembles in Iceland and abroad. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Sciences at the University of Iceland.
