Bergur Thomas Anderson

Bergur Anderson is a composer and sound artist, exploring polyphonic storytelling and the transitory qualities of sound through experimental music-making, sound publications and voice-based art works.

Unisong (2024) is his fourth release on the Futura Resistenza label — with previous releases including solo LP Night Time Transmissions (2021) and come, Memory: fieldwork (2023), a collaborative cassette made with visual artist and partner Katrina Niebergal. His work has been shown at places like an other world, puntWG, The Pole (NL), Harbinger and Kling og Bang (IS). He’s performed at places like Mengi (IS), Occii, Roodkapje (NL), De Nor, Het Bos, Grand Hospice (BE), and broadcasted on platforms like BBC Radio 3, NTS, Kiosk Radio, Palanga Street Radio, Radiophrenia and Radio TNP.

Next to his own practice, Bergur collaborates with artists on enhancing the role sound plays in their practices — as a composer, recordist, instrumentalist, performer, sound designer, and mixing/mastering engineer.
