Hamraborg Festival invites you to a concert evening at Salurinn, September 1st at 8 PM with musicians lúpína and petals. They will both present intimate and heartfelt solo shows where music and expression is at its peak.

lúpína

lúpína loops is a new concert series by musician lúpína. The concerts are an experiment in live music creation with limited tools. All the concerts are performed by one person; namely lúpína, her voice, one synthesizer and one piano. These sounds are then run through a computer program that lúpína has programmed to sync with the songs, so that the computer knows when to record certain instruments, when to play the recording and when to turn it off. All the sounds heard during the concerts are performed live on stage, creating an enjoyable live concert experience that is both innovative and original.

petals

petals will perform an intimate solo piano set of about 45 minutes or more played on the Bösendorfer concert grand in Salurinn. The concert will showcase petals on solo piano where she will be spontaneously composing and improvising. petals says that the intention of this concert is to create contemplative and emotional feeling-thinking-tinkering spells that are still lyrical to the point that they mimic the beauty, repetition and uplift of bells.
