In this series of oil paintings, Icelandic horses appear within familiar spaces and buildings in Hamraborg. By placing the horses inside an everyday urban environment, a quiet but unexpected coexistence emerges between the built environment and living nature. The works show the horses in different moods; sometimes still and observant, sometimes in motion, as their energy disrupts the stability of the surroundings. In this way, Hamraborg is transformed into a living stage where the familiar takes on new meaning. The series invites the viewer to pause and see a well-known environment through different eyes.
Location: Catalina, Gjábakki & Te & Kaffi.
