Kollmar looks closely at the material and semiotic landscapes of the everyday, her works emerging in the space between celebration and critique, beauty and misunderstanding. In the exhibition, the focus lies in the flow of visual information we receive in our daily lives, with a certain climax being reached in places such as Euromarket. The works channel this overflow with precision. A lost glove is carefully repackaged, a lighter has a meeting with a landscape, as the zip tie secures the drawing to a shelf. A sculpture might be mistaken for product, or a product mistaken for a sculpture.
