Auður Mist and Ragnheiður Íris met through a mutual friend when they were eighteen.Since then, they have been inseparable; like two halves of a whole.

Auður Mist works across mediums to express her ideas and contemplations. The body and the bodily experience has been central to her practice, serving both as subject and medium. Ragnheiður Íris works primarily with textiles. Thread comes to her through her foremothers, and by following its path into the past, she reflects on her own emotions and experiences, transforming them into a shared visual language.

Both artists graduated with a BA in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2023, where their collaboration began. Together, they work under the names Auja Mist and Rírí Sól. Through their friendship, they highlight both the joy and the weight of growing up as a girl.
