Spanning three sites across Kópavogur, HERE/THERE RADIO is a three-sited sound installation about communication and belonging, composed from recordings, conversations, and collective writing across Wales and Iceland. Dreamed up in collaboration with people with experiences of oppression and interests in communication, this multi-lingual and multi-vocal artwork draws on the traditions of radio drama and community broadcasting on the occasion of Iceland’s 100 year anniversary of radio broadcasting.

HERE/THERE RADIO composes a chorus of personal dreams, local histories, and imagined futures, to explore what it means to belong, and the challenges of communicating. Listeners/audiences will be able to eavesdrop on the local stories of location and located dreams, as a surreal narrative to their own daily routines.

PIRATE RADIO : a collective lecture (on top of a mountain between Italy and Slovenia) [2025] will be played from at installation locations from August 28th-August 30th. Further information at all locations.

All exhibitions open on Friday, August 28 at 5pm and remain open during each location’s regular opening hours until September 4.
