Creative monsters

Creative monsters

Creative Odd Monsters is a creative workshop for children where imagination gets to take the lead. Children are invited to create their own odd little monsters using all kinds of materials, such as recycled objects, natural materials, paper, paint and other fun things that can be cut, glued, painted and pieced together.

In this workshop, it does not matter whether the monster turns out strange, cute, funny, spooky or a complete little troublemaker. Nothing needs to be perfect and no monster has to look a certain way. Children are encouraged to experiment, mix different materials together and see what happens.

Once the monster starts to come to life, children can give it a name, a personality and even a small story. What is its favourite food? What sounds does it make? Is it shy, brave, curious or perhaps a little mischievous?

The project is inspired by play, the strange world of monsters and the idea that being odd or different can also be something good. It can be beautiful, funny, creative and meaningful.

The goal is to create a warm and encouraging space where children can create on their own terms, enjoy quality time with adults and have fun along the way.

Workshop will be at the Laboratory at the Natural Museum.
