Hlynur Steinsson (b. 1996) is an ecologist with a master’s degree from the University of Iceland (2024). In his work he explores organisms that thrive under marginal conditions in environments commonly seen as undesirable or unworthy of attention. He produced the radio program Fuglafit in collaboration with RÚV where bird dialects and culture in urban settings were explored. In his current projects he focuses on the lifeforms of the city by carving our relationship with them directly into the concrete reality.
