Thinking about the taming of a once-neutral space into a home, Vaneková reflects on the experience of leaving places that have shaped us as much as we have shaped them. Her work considers being present in each other’s risings and demolitions, reaching for intimacy in the arrangement of chairs around the table, and the physical imprints left by boisterous children’s games. She focuses on a kind of mutual remodelling, the loss of value of once-important objects, and the selectivity that emerges through emotional bonds.

All exhibitions open on Friday, August 28 at 5pm and remain open during each location’s regular opening hours until September 4.
